Rwanda – land of the thousand hills and these endless mountains make Rwanda one of the most scenic countries in Africa. MAG will climb one of them. Besides beautiful greenery, you can have the opportunity to meet some of the precious mountain gorillas. You will never forget the experience when the gorilla will grab your foot thinking it is a root.

1st day (9th August)
We will arrive in Kigali at 6am and start heading towards Volcanoes Nationalpark. Our first stop will be the town of Musanze where we will grab lunch and get on the canoe, to paddle along lush green shores of the gentle river at the foothills of Virunga Volcanoes. Maybe we meet some otters on our way.

2nd day (10 August)
We will start our day early, go the NP headquarters before we start our hike. Bisoke Volcano 3,711m above sea level is located on the DRC and Rwanda Border. An eruption in 1957 formed two small cones on the north flank of the volcano. Hiking to the crater lake requires 4 hours up a steep trail from the Bisoke departure point.

3rd day (11 August)
Today we will go and see the Golden Monkeys at the foot of Mt. Sabyinyo. One group comprises between 80 – 100 very inquisitive and playful monkeys.

***You have the option of exchanging this activity with the Gorilla trekking. (please see note below). In the afternoon we will visit the Guardian Village which was built to give ex-poachers the chance to make an alternative way of living.

4th day (12 August)
We take the morning easy before we start heading back to Kigali. In Kigali we will shop a little at the local market. Get our Rwandan souvenirs and maybe some coffee beans. In the afternoon we will visit the Genocide memorial and learn more about this terrifying event of the '90s. After dinner we will be heading back to the airport for our 0:30am flight back to Dubai.
