About the Adventure

Let's take MAG to the island of Zanzibar, which once belonged to the Sultanate of Oman. The island's capital is a mesmerizing mix of influences from Africa, Arabia & Europe. This island is famous for all its spice farms and sandy white beaches surrounded by turquoise waters. But if you think that Zanzibar only has beaches, don't be fooled! How does walking or SUP through the Mangroves, old remote fishing villages, boat rides in traditional Ngalawa sound? How about a boat ride to for some snorkeling fun, dolphin swimming and chill on white sandy beaches? Zanzibar is welcoming tourists again but masses of tourists are not there yet, so the island remains calm and peaceful and we can enjoy it almost by ourselves.

Let's use the UAE national day for a Zanzibari escape. Stay at a beautiful beach hotel and enjoy every morning your breakfast on a shaded wooden porch overlooking the turquoise ocean. We have packed our days with some adventures on and off the beaches. We will stay 5 nights at a beautiful boutique hotel on the coast and spend the other days in Stonetown, learning more about the history and getting lost in the little alleys full of tiny shops. You will get enough time to chill, but also see village life and eat lots of fresh fish and seafood. We promise adventure and luxury do not have to be separate. Wake up in a beautiful hotel but also enjoy the local life at the small restaurant hut right next corner.

Theme: Easy & chilled trip, small easy hikes, boat, beach, swim, local experiences, sightseeing

Program (itinerary subject to change): We will meet in the middle of the night at DXB airport to be right on time for a picknick breakfast on the spice farm. We will tour the spice farm and finish off with home cooked meal before checking into our Stonetown hotel and take the afternoon a little chilled by finishing the day on one of the roof top terraces and enjoy the perfect view of the sun setting over the ocean.

Day 2 Cross over by boat to nearby island, to see 150 years old tortoises (on land), snorkel and swim. We will then take a walking city tour and finish the day with dinner at the night market.

Day 4 we will be picked up from our hotel by boat and spend the whole day on the water. We swim with dolphins, snorkel and have fresh seafood lunch.

Day 5 In the morning we will spend a few hours on Covid Testing and finish it by paddling through the mangroves on a SUP. Before having dinner at the beach.

Day 6 Today we will visit the sponge and seaweed farm to learn more about harvesting and the afternoon is free.
