About the Adventure
Beautiful Bosnia & Hercegovina is most intriguing for its East-meets-West atmosphere born of blended Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian histories. Many people remember the country with the heartbreaking civil war of the 1990s. The scars from that time are all too visible.
Bosnia has an underestimated beauty and hospitality, good food and a lot of things to learn and see.
On our trip in June, we will take you to Sarajevo, Mostar and Srebrenica. You will discover the history of the siege, the destroyed Mostar Bridge and Srebrenica. But we also will hike the mountains of Sarajevo's backyard, Kravice Waterfalls and so much more....
First day
We will arrive in Sarajevo around noon. On our way to the hotel, we will stop at the Tunnel Museum, which was used during the Siege as the only way to smuggle stuff into Sarajevo. We will end with a little City Tour through the historic part of Sarajevo.
Second Day
It will be a long day but so worth it as you will see springs, old towns and beautiful waterfalls. And we will feed you well
We will head to Mostar, to visit the famous bridge and town. On our way we will stop at a variety of spots to see nature and history. After Mostar we will enjoy the beauty of Kravice Waterfalls. Then we will head back to our hotel.
Third day
We will get up and start our trip by driving through the olympic mountains after our breakfast. We reach our starting point after a short drive. While hiking up, you can enjoy the stunning views of the mountains with the ultimate peak of Bjelasnica mountain During our hike we will stop for some local food and coffee.
Fourth day
Today we will drive to the Genocide memorial site of Srebrenica. We will be driving through the beautiful scenery of Eastern Bosnia while we will learn a lot about the history of Bosnia during the war. Srebrenica was the largest concentration camp in the world during the 90s. We will participate a guided tour by a local guide who is a survivor of those events.
Fifth day
The morning is all yours for shopping, following the red roses of Sarajevo, exploring Sarajevo or just mingle with the locals over a cup of Bosnian coffee and just enjoy the atmosphere of this stunning town. In the afternoon we will be flying back to Dubai.
